Second Light

Second Light is a small, quiet chase game where the dark hunts back.

You are a light in the dark. Light both lamps to open the way, but the dark moves toward you with every step. It sharpens as you go: from room four it aims ahead of you, from room five it moves every step, and room six brings a twin. Room eight takes your last life.

Arrow keys to move. Space to dash, R to restart.

Every day is one run, and it is the same run for everyone until local midnight: the rooms, the dark and the shard drops are seeded from the date. Your best room and time today sit in the corner the whole run, and the death card shows today’s best next to your all-time best. So today’s run is a rematch, not a new draw.
